FinEstAI: From ideas to practical AI solutions

On 9–10 April, I joined the FinEstAI Hackathon at Estonian Business School in Tallinn as a mentor and juror. Organised by Haaga-Helia University, Estonian Business School and TooEarly Ventures, the event brought people with different levels of AI experience together to tackle practical challenges.

My mentoring focused on workflow automation: helping teams narrow the problem, test their ideas and identify a concrete next step. The checkpoints moved from finding a useful fit between problem and solution to validating what the teams had built.

It was a hands-on approach to AI upskilling, with room to experiment, ask questions and learn through feedback. Alongside mentoring, I served on the jury to review the teams’ work.
